The Food Pantry is open on

Tuesdays (except for the 1st Tuesday of the Month) from 10:00am - 2:00pm and is open on the first Saturday of the month (from 10:00 – noon.)


We want to sincerely thank the pantry volunteers and all who have contributed food

and given monetary donations this year.

A Time-line of our

Food Pantry


On opening day of the Food Pantry, June 4th, 2013, we had two families with three people in those families. The next week, June 11th, we had three families with four people in those families. By the end of June (4-weeks later) we had 23 families with 74 people. In comparison, for the End of May, 2017, we had 643 families with 1,852 people in those families. There has been an increase of the end of 2013 of 735 families with 2,238 people to the present count of 15,501 families with 45,407 people in those families.

The Food Pantry received a check for $1000,00 from the International Association of Machinists Union at Holloman AFB to help in the purchase of 150 Turkeys to be given out on Tuesday.  Thank you IAMU of Holloman AFB!

Pictured is La Luz Elementary who brought in and donated 794 items. Thank you La Luz Elementary!  We also received 1200 lbs. of food from Gerald Champion Hospital, and Sierra Elementary School.  The Lady of the Light Food Pantry wants to thank each and everyone who donated items to these facilities for us.

OFCU (by the Sheriff's office) donated 350 lbs of canned vegetables to our food pantry!

Thank you OFCU! Cans were wrapped with colored paper to make display.
